Arrows and Warriors are off to the finals
This week:Finals vs Six Nations
The Arrows had to play game six against Peterborough withoutJohn Johnsonafter he was injured in game five. He would be a big loss if he isn't ready to return for the finals. But the Shoes Nike 2017 Arrows have plenty of talent spread throughout the lineup. They play tough, stingy defence that leads to a lethal transition game. They have plenty of guys who can get up the floor and finish. The most dangerous may beShane Simpson, an absolute burner who scored two shorthanded goals in Six Nations' 9 7 game six win over the Lakers. In goal, it doesn't seem to matter whether they playDon AltonorDoug Jamieson; both have been excellent and sport goals against averages under 8 for the playoffs.

season will be to become more consistent in taking away the transition game and improving their own running attack. With a pair of high touted young goalies set to backstop the team inBrett LafonteandDraydan Patey, Peterborough continue to be competitive for years to come.
The Lakers gave Six Nations a good run in the semis. Ultimately, they were undone by their inability to stop the Arrows going on runs. Game five provides a good example. The Warriors are an amazing study in how to produce a competitive team year after year. After all the losses mentioned above and more, Whitby manages to be competitive. They keep drawing players from the Clarington Green Gaels Jr B team. This year's shining example isAustin Shanks. Last year, his first in Jr A, Shanks scored 39 points in the regular season then added 42 in 14 playoff games. After playing in just three regular season games, Weber has carried the entire playoff load and has been very good, allowing just 8 goals per game.
1 (1) Six Nations Arrows 16 4 regular season, 7 2 playoffs
Last week: L14 9, 10 5, 14 9, 12 11 Whitby
In the end, the talented Excelsiors simply lost to a team with more experience in Whitby. As frustrating as it is right now, Brampton will be the better for it next year. Five of their top six playoff scorers can return in 2015, when Brampton will have to enter the season as one of the favourites to host the Minto Cup.
game semifinal series, the OLA Jr A playoffs return to where they were last year: a best of seven finals between the Six Nations Arrows and the Whitby Warriors. Last year, Six Nations won the first two games but Whitby fought back to win the series in seven games. Both teams have lost significant players from last year's team. Gone from Six Nations areRandy Staats,Vaughn HarrisandWarren Hill. The Warriors are without graduates likeCurtis Knight,Dan Lintner,Mitch DeSnoo,Chad Tutton,Graeme HossackandAlexis Buque. But both teams are reloaded and refocused and desperately want to earn a trip to the west for the Minto Cup. There's not much time for rest. After completing their six game semis in just eight days, the teams will get right back at it Thursday night at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena in Six Nations Thursday night then return to Iroquois Park in Whitby Saturday for game two.
