Last week: W11 5 St. They rebounded nicely to take out the Lakeshores in their second chance against Barrie. Still, the losses to Barrie and Burlington pull them back to the pack some. The reality is that teams go into Whitby with a lot more confidence they can compete than they've had in recent years. They're potent offensively but are having a harder time getting back the defensive swagger of the last few years. Remember, though, that a lot of people wrote them off before the playoffs last year, saying they'd lost too many players to compete for another Minto Cup. They did just fine. That's not to say they'll win the Minto again this summer, but it would be foolish to head into a playoff series against them feeling overconfident.
This week's game against KW should be an interesting one both teams have given up almost exactly as many goals as they've score (Burlington is a +2 and KW a +1). Then an almost certain loss to Six Nations and an almost certain win over Mississauga to round out their week.
Arrows remain in a class
The Lakeshores come off a big week where they earned a couple of important wins and narrowly lost another pair of games, right into yet another big week. Toronto is no pushover while Brampton and Peterborough are the hottest teams Nike White Shoes For Girls outside of Six Nations, who are on another plane right now. Barrie could solidify themselves as legitimate contenders. The most likely scenario is a win and two losses that leave them smack dab where they are: fighting for one of the last few playoff spots and hoping to avoid eighth place and the Arrows in the first round.

6 St. They have ample opportunity this week to prove that they belong higher, facing two teams above them in the rankings, both of whom are higher scoring teams but both of whom also give up more goals. They were dominated by the Lakers, to whom they'd lost by just one goal a couple of weeks ago, then turned around and beat the Warriors. Nike Shoes Blue And Yellow
5 (4) Orangeville Northmen 8 5
It seems like every week there is another Arrow who deserves a moment in the spotlight. How about Quinn Powless this week? The third year player has already topped his previous best season of 45 points in his rookie campaign. Powless leads the Arrows in assists with 34 and is tied for most points with 53. He's part of a multi faceted offence that doesn't rely on any one player to do the heavy lifting. Third place Whitby should provide a challenge to Six Nike Shoes Latest Release

Nations this week, but so lately nobody has really pushed the Arrows. Until somebody else beats them they're settled pretty solidly in second spot in the rankings. They face some stern tests in the steady Northmen and a Barrie club that is playing its best lacrosse right now. This week should give us a good idea of how resilient the Excelsiors are. They went into the game in Six Nations looking to make a statement that they can compete for a title. Instead it was the Arrows making a statement in that game. Now is the time for Brampton to show they won't be fazed by a loss like that. It's not so much that they've won the games all of which were against Toronto, Mississauga and Burlington but the way that they've been playing during the stretch. They are looking more and more like the team everyone expected them to be from the start this year. Now they face the exact same challenge this week as Brampton does with games against Orangeville and Barrie. Can they carry over the momentum they've developed against higher ranked teams? The answer will determine if their stay at 3 is a long one or simply a high water mark.
Last week: L12 11 KW, W12 10 Whitby, W10 8 KW, L14 12 Whitby
4 (3) Whitby Warriors 9 7
The middle of the pack is incredibly tightly bunched in OLA Jr A this year. When you get past Six Nations (who showed they are clearly the class of the loop by handling second place Brampton fairly easily), any of the next nine teams seem capable of beating any of the others on a given night. The Excelsiors' 11 game winning streak, which came to a close with their 11 4 loss to the Arrows, has given them a little breathing room ahead of the rest of the pack. Then you have six seven teams, from Whitby at 18 points to St. Catharines at 12, in a cluster fighting for playoff spots and positioning. With three weeks to play in the regular season, there's still lots to be decided and there's sure to be lots of movement in the IL Indoor Power Rankings. There certainly has been this week. Make the jump to see how it all plays out.
